Kaapikad Estate is situated in the pristine Western Ghats of India in Raxidi, Saklespur where our family have grown coffee since 70's. Kaapikad (ಕಾಪಿಕಾಡು) translates to coffee forest in Kannada, and is blessed with number of lakes, spring, hills and is home to variety of flora and fauna.
We grow both Arabica and Robusta in a sustainable and eco-friendly way in the canopy of two-tier shade of natural trees. The ripe coffee fruits are hand-picked and processed. For wet processing pure water from natural streams is used for washing and pulped water is recycled. We produce naturals, honey and washed and the fruit is sun dried slowly on African raised beds. Anaerobic fermentation using bacteria, yeast is done 72hrs-96hrs.
